32 Days of Summertime
A look into Betty Corello’s books!

Betty Corello is a light in the romance book community. Her books are funny, sexy, and sweet. They’ll make you laugh so hard your drink will fly out of your nose then immediately make you start ugly sobbing over a tub of ice cream. They’re full of the type of grief where you’re mourning the life you thought you’d live, but they give you hope for all that your new future holds for you instead. Her characters are raw and messy and flawed and beautiful. Through all of this, she also finds a way to write about disability, mental health, and heartbreak in such a lovely and considerate way. Her books have something for everyone and I hope they make some part, or all of you, feel deeply seen.
Go on and enter into her worlds, set on the Jersey Shore and one set in a paranormal Pennsylvania, and fall in love with her books just like I did.
Let’s take a trip to the Jersey Shore
“But there were so many parts of myself plastered with Do Not Disturb signs. Parts of myself that were hard and dark and no pep talk could pull them forward.” — Summertime Punchline
Here’s Betty moderating a panel at Love Y’all Book Fest this year!
In Betty’s debut novel, Delfina Silva-Miller, (call her Del), just walked in on her boyfriend in between the legs of her roommate that already hates her. Did I mention that she also just quit her job waitressing in NYC and needs to spend all her time focusing on the huge comedy festival she just got accepted to? Except now she has no job, no boyfriend, and nowhere to live. So, she runs to her best friend whose only way of helping is throwing his car keys out the window. Armed with nothing but feminine rage and a beat up car, she drives to her hometown Evergreen, NJ. Instead of running straight into the loving arms of her grandma, she runs into her old love, Eddie Rodriguez, who is definitely not the Eddie of 10 years ago. In fact, he’s a dad to a beautiful little 2-year-old. Del and Eddie have lived two very different, very separate lives and maybe this will be the summer where they rediscover themselves and each other again.
“It’s so unfair.” This comment is directed at his coffee mug. “You’ve just existed all these years, and I only get to have you now.” — 32 Days In May
A year ago, Nadia Fabiola was that girl. Living in Philly, she had the career and the apartment and everything she wanted. But then, the exhaustion crept in, the pain started, the brain fog was ever-present, and a host of other confusing symptoms developed. Finally, Nadia got a diagnosis and her journey with lupus and depression was unearthed. She decides to move back to Evergreen, NJ, and when her doctor sets her up with his nephew, she never could have guessed that he would be the famous actor Marco Antoniou. Marco is figuring out how to put his life and career back after a messy public fallout and struggle with addiction. After an interesting first date, the two decide to channel Sweet November and date for just the month of May. Nadia is determined not to burden Marco with her diagnosis, but the more the two fall for each other, over whale watching and trips to Rome, the harder it is to keep her full self away from him.
Vampires are so back!
“I would fall to my knees at her feet for the promise of another night in her company.”
— My Italian Vampire
Betty’s latest release, published under the name BC Dolce, is the witchy vampire romance of my dreams. Diantha Moro has secrets to uncover and needs to unravel her mother’s life story. The only way she’s going to do that is by finding a way into the catacombs under the University of Echidna. Now it’s Diantha’s last chance, her last semester of her Master’s Program at the university, and in walks the most beautiful man she’s ever seen, Orfeo DiPaola. Turns out, Orfeo isn’t just a man after all, he’s a vampire—an Italian vampire. Yes, the Italian part is incredibly important. Orfeo has a blood debt to end and secrets of his own. This book is steamy, magical, violent, and bloody delicious.
Okay, now I’m in love with Betty Corello. What should I do next?
Whenever I think about Betty, my heart just wants to squeeze all the love I have and send it her way. Her books are incredible, sure, but who she is as a person is an even bigger gift to this world. I hope you pick up her books and I hope they change your life the same way they changed mine. Keep an eye out too for her next release, Back for Seconds, which publishes October 6th, 2026!
